STPP student Zach Quirk was recently appointed as a new Associate Editor of the Journal of Science Policy and Governance. He joins recent STPP graduate Jason Albert. Quirk is a National Science Foundation Fellow and PhD Candidate in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at UM. His research focuses on leaf trait evolution and plasticity in living and fossil monocot flowering plants. Apart from his doctoral studies, Quirk serves as a team co-lead for the environmental justice policy group of the Virginia Scientist-Community Interface (V-SCI). His policy interests include climate change impact policy, energy transition policy, and environmental justice.
