Sarita Schoenebeck
Sarita Schoenebeck is an Associate Professor in the School of Information at the University of Michigan. She directs the Living Online Lab and co-directs the Social Media Research Lab. Her research is in the areas of Human-Computer Interaction, Social Computing, and Social Media. Her work focuses on promoting justice and equity in online contexts ranging from online harassment to gender to disability to algorithms. She received her Ph.D in Human-Centered Computing from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She received a National Science Foundation CAREER award and her research has been covered in global media such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Daily Mail, NPR, the guardian, and many others.
