Mike Shriberg
Mike Shriberg is a Professor of Practice & Engagement in the School for Environment & Sustainability (SEAS) with concurrent appointments with the Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research and Michigan Sea Grant. Dr. Shriberg’s work focuses on water issues in the Great Lakes, local and state energy policy, campus sustainability/carbon neutrality and sustainability leadership. Dr. Shriberg earned his B.S. with honors in Biology & Society at Cornell University's College of Agricultural & Life Sciences, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Resource Policy & Behavior at SEAS.
Dr. Shriberg’s research is interdisciplinary and practice-oriented, focused on how institutions and individuals can be trained and empowered as change agents and policy advocates. Prior to coming to SEAS, he was the Great Lakes regional executive director at the National Wildlife Federation. Previously, he was the education director at the Graham Sustainability Institute at U-M. He also previously served as the policy director at the Ecology Center and director of Environment Michigan.
